HIKING TRAILS

In the surrounding of Hveravellir you will find almost endless variety of beautiful Hiking Slopes. The three most popular one became to be called The Green Trail, The Red Trail and The Orange Trail. In the reception you can ask for better information or even buy a little map for the trails.

 

HOW TO GET HERE

Hveravellir Nature Reserve is located on the Kjölur route (number F35), which runs approximately 200 km across the middle highlands of Iceland from Gullfoss waterfall in the south to Blöndudalur valley in the north. The area lies about halfway between Reykjavik city and Akureyri town in north Iceland, about 200 km in either direction.
